Network Marketing Tips | How to Achieve Goals for Your Network Marketing Business?
To achieve goals for your network marketing business for 2013 (hopefully you set them by now), let’s first go back to goal setting purpose at every new year.
Why do people celebrate New Year?
I was listening to a great conference call about “why do people celebrate New Year” that inspired me to write this post and share network marketing tips I’ve learned. The topic was about the key reasons why people celebrate New Year which leads into goal achievement in network marketing business.
Here are the 3 key reasons that were mentioned:
1. Every Past Needs a Pardon
Every new year at December 31st, the previous year is over. It’s done. Whether it was a good year or not, it’s simply over. When we turn the page to the rest of the world and celebrate a fresh start, we need a pardon to do that. That moment is a great divider for what was and what might be.
2. Every Future Needs a Hope
There is always a hope for a better future. It’s the belief that we can do better this year. We’re refreshed and renewed by the magic of the ball dropping in Times Square in New York City. Million people were watching it live this year and millions others watched in their respective time zones around the globe as their midnight struck. They received their co-pardon but at the same time they dream about what the new year might bring, new hopes for their families, new careers, new lives. Their future needs that hope.
3. Every Present Needs a Purpose
That is where the goal sitting and goal achieving comes in. Even though the negative pole has been pardoned and the positive pole or the promise of the future is our new hope, we live the present. Our goal sitting and achieving happens now. If you ever going to realize your hopes and dreams, you’ve got to do it with action of the present. Almost 2 weeks ago, many have set new goals and made new resolutions. Unfortunately, some people have already broken some if not all of their goals and others let the power of old habits begin to choke the life out of the new goals.
So what are the steps to overcome the old habits- The power to fulfill your hopes and live your dreams?
Your present is all you can deal with. It has the necessary steps to live your purpose. Many of you know Darren Hardy, a self made millionaire and the publisher of Success magazine. He has a famous book called The Compound Effect and a follow up workbook called Living Your Best Year Ever. Those 2 are everything you need to know about goals sitting and achieving.
Network Marketing Tips
So here are the basic steps in these 2 books that you need to follow to achieve your goals in your network marketing business:
1. SMART Goals:
Let me just start by saying that most people have no problem in setting the goals. The REAL problem is in achieving them! When you set goals, they should be SMART goals:
S – Specific
Example – don’t say “I want to be debt free”. Say: “I want to shred my credit cards and pay off my $27K bills and pay my $30K loans”.
M – Measurable
Your goals should be measuring your progress to this sensitive timely achievements. For example: Don’t say “I want to get fit” but say “I want to lose 25 Ibs” or I want a BMI of 20″ or “my cholesterol needs to be under 200″. As you get closer to achieving that, that drives you to reach your ultimate goal.
A – Attainable
It simply means as Darren states it to get your head out of the cloud and get serious about it. Always adjust your goals upward if you have found, along the way, that you understated your goal. But it it’s so big and so broad, it can become a turn so you want it to be attainable.
R – Relevant
It means your goals should be in alignment with your core values and beliefs and who you are. This is a great network marketing tip as your goal should makes sense for what’s really important in your life and network marketing business.
T – Time Sensitive
Your goal has to have a deadline and it should be close to be able to measure your progress and tweak it.
2. Number of Goals:
You should not set more than 1-3 goals at at time unless you’re a true achiever in your network marketing business. Here is another network marketing tip: Your goal will become a challenge to achieve if you have 7-8 goals to reach. There is actually nothing wrong with starting out with one goal and get the habit formation down or the system down if you may call it.
3. Consistency:
Consistency then becomes one of the most principles of success in your network marketing business. Doing the daily routine of the little steps is what will help you achieve the big results. Breaking your rhythm into daily and hourly momentum is the key element to achieving your goals and THAT is where everyone FAILS because success is not seen quickly. It takes time and effort to go through the grudges of this daily system NOT being able to see the results you wish to see so people lose interest.

Great advice Niveen. Probably the most important thing people who are successful do is develop the habits that successful people have. By setting lofty goals and consistently achieving them leads to success.
